Suneo has finished developing the photos from the hiking trip and gives them to his friends. However, to Nobita's shock, there is only one photo of him, while Gian and Shizuka also notice that Suneo purposely focused the camera on to himself, making him the star in each photo, much to their dismay.
Back home, Nobita shows the photo to Doraemon, which is revealed to be taken badly, cropping out half of Nobita's body so that Suneo becomes the center of the attention. Doraemon bring out the Preference Photo Printer which is capable of correcting how the photo is taken and uses Nobita's image as an example, moving the picture towards Nobita's direction and printing the result out, bringing a smile to Nobita's face. As he was busy and thus absent on the trop, Doraemon also inserts himself inside the photo.
Happy about the results, Nobita visits Shizuka to borrow her portion of the photos, which he and Doraemon proceed to print out the versions that feature him properly, including altering the time of some photos to when they were more favorable such as when Nobita points Shizuka to a beautiful flower, along with printing photos of wild birds and animals through Suneo's binoculars that he didn't let Nobita use (where it is revealed that Sueno used it to peep Shizuka's underwear). After they successfully print out all the desired photos, Doraemon prepares to put the gadget away but Nobita asks him for one more favor - to print out a photo of rainbow that they saw. Though requiring a bit of adjustment, Doraemon is able to capture the picture perfectly like in Nobita's memory. Satisfied with the result, the two decide to print out this special picture and give the photos to everyone.
Before they can finish with the remaining pictures, Nobita notices Suneo's binoculars in one of the photos, revealing that he forgot to bring them back home. The two use the "Anywhere Door" to go to the location, where the item is revealed to be lying in pristine condition. Knowing that Suneo is in a big trouble, Nobita and Doraemon decide to return them to him as Suneo's mother starts to get angry and interrogate Sueno. However, Doraemon and Nobita ended up making the situation worse when they return the item. The episode ends with Sueno being punished by his mother.
The scene that Doraemon and Nobita looks at the birds through Suneo's telescope and sees Suneo peeping under Shizuka's skirt is cut in the Filipino version.
