They're pretty much still giving this show the exact same treatment they've always given it: little to no promotion, sub-par airing times. Why would they just air it on their channel without hardly mentioning it will be broadcasted in the first place? The only reason we found out about it was from the television schedule.
It just makes absolutely no sense from a marketing perspective. It's as if they don't want the show to be successful. Don't get me wrong; I'm still grateful for the fact it's on the air right now for us to watch, but a little more effort into promotion would go a VERY long way.
Who here feels like telling Disney XD to advertise it and put it in prime-time slots?
Based on this tweet, it unfortunately seems like there's no Season 3 in the works just yet, but that's not to say that hopes are down at all! Just means our point of success hasn't been reached yet. :p
I think there will be a season 3, just my thoughts.
My hopes are also high for a third season. If they weren't planning on making season 3, why are they airing the show again? Seriously, with virtually no advertising it just doesn't make sense for them to air it again with no incentive.
The only other possibility that I can think of (which is pretty depressing) is that they just needed something to fill in a half-hour time slot for their anime block. Even then this doesn't really make sense; by the looks of things it will be airing pretty regularly. I wish we could just get some answers instead of going through all this speculation...

Why would they air it with no incentive? They want us to catch up, for a season 3.
I'm so glad that Kaiji Tang loves Doraemon, and he supports the idea of a third season. I also asked him a very good question. I said, "I was wondering, is there anything we fans can do to help? In addition to watching Doraemon every day at 2:30, of course." And in response, he said, "Voice your love for the show to @DisneyXD and let them know! <3".
Sorry for the double post, everyone. But I have some good news about the schedule. :)
According to the DisneyABCPress website, Doraemon will air on April 3rd and April 10th (during those 2 weeks when Disney XD is having random marathons). And then, on April 17th, Disney XD will go back to their regular weekday schedule. So yes, that means, they will be airing Doraemon again, Monday through Friday at 2:30 PM Eastern. :D
I will still wonder if we are even gonna get Doraemon Season 3 I mean it is having reruns again which could be a possible sign on a third season also Johnny Yong Bosch is gonna have to voice two character which is Noby Nobi and Nate Adams from Yo-kai Watch.
I wish that Disney XD will give Doraemon a time slot on Saturday and Sunday at 6:00 pm so that it can air with the three current animes Pokemon,Yo-kai Watch, and Beyblade Burst and I also want new episodes so Disney XD can put Doraemon at 10:00 am because 8:00 am is to early for my tastes and it also gives me something else to watch besides Yo-kai Watch for new episode. Also side note why is Disney XD not airring the Pokemon Sun and Moon Anime.
