I'm Doraemon (ぼくドラえもん Boku Doraemon) is one of the theme songs for the 1979 anime. The song first appeared in Doraemon: Nobita's Dinosaur as the theme song, appearing as such again in Doraemon: The New Record of Nobita's Spaceblazer, and in 2112: The Birth of Doraemon as the ending theme. It also appears in Doraemon: Nobita and the Spiral City, Doraemon: Nobita and the Galaxy Super-express and in it's PlayStation game Doraemon 2 - SOS! Otogi no Kuni.
History[]
The song "Boku Doraemon" was first aired on October 1, 1979, in episode 157, temporarily replacing "Doraemon's Song". This song continued to be used as the opening theme until September 23, 1981, when episode 617 was aired.
On October 2, 1981, after the series switched to a half-hour format, this theme was replaced back with "Doraemon's Song".
In 1995, the song was rearranged and Doraemon's year of birth, 2112, was added to its title. The new version of the song was first aired in the short film "2112: The Birth of Doraemon" on March 4, 1995, and a month later - in the series, but this time as the ending theme. This ending theme lasted for seven years, from 1995 to 2002, longer than the other one to date.

My mind is great! Great!
Swift and shiny! Shiny!
But what does it matter?
I am Doraemon!
I am a cat robot from the Future World!
How about that? I'm Doraemon!
Mysterious, egnimatic, mystifying
Bizarre and rounded,
Clockwork-run
And no need for instructions!
Doraemon! Doraemon!
Honwaka pappa honwaka pappa Doraemon!
I have a sound that's quite loud!
But what does it matter?
I am Doraemon!
Take a quick search through my magic pocket!
How about that? I'm Doraemon!
Mysterious, egnimatic, mystifying
Bizarre and rounded,
Clockwork-run
And no need for instructions!
Doraemon! Doraemon!
Honwaka pappa honwaka pappa Doraemon!
My appearance is like a pig's stomach
And my face is round.
But what does it matter?
I am Doraemon!
Tell me about my tail looking like a flower.
How about that? I'm Doraemon!
Mysterious, egnimatic, mystifying
Bizarre and rounded,
Clockwork-run
And no need for instructions!
Doraemon! Doraemon!
Honwaka pappa honwaka pappa Doraemon!
