Plot[]

After watching bull-fighting on tv, Doraemon and Nobita decide to pay a visit to Matadora in Spain at the Beef Bowl Shop "Carmen". The two find the shop closed, and quickly discover that this is due to Carmen, the daught of Matadora's boss, had fallen into a deep slumber.

Matadora explains that Carmen was having a nightmare on the night before the incident, so he brought out "Nightmare Eater Baku", a mythological creature successfully recreated in 22nd Century that is capable of eating away bad dream, from the "Live Photobook" to help her sleep well, but Carmen instead fell into a deep painful slumber, and if this goes on she may never wake up again. Knowing that it's his responsibility, Matadora brings out "Dream Ladder" in order to get into Carmen's dream and recover Baku in order to end her nightmare, with Doraemon and Nobita joining on this quest.

The three manage to locate Carmen, who appears as her younger self, within a bull-fighting coloseum, watching a young man preparing to engage in battle. However, the scene quickly turns into nightmare the moment the young man is injured by the bull, with the bull revealing itself to be none other than the Baku, now having demonic appearance and is increasing the nightmare within Carmen's dream. The corrupted Baku explains that he has became addicted to the taste of Carmen's nightmare and decided to propagate its existence in order for it to keep devouring forever, angering Doraemon, Nobita, and Matadora.

Resuming its demonic bull form, the Baku challenges Matadora to defeat it in order to free Carmen, with the latter being unable to harm him in anyway. At the same time, Doraemon and Nobita notice three crystal statues in shape of people close to Carmen, representing her most cherished memories, with one of them being Keikai-Dora, Matadora's superhero alter-ego. Realizing this, Matadora proceeds to transform into Keikai-Dora and engage with Baku, purifying the nightmarish stage. Seeing that he cannot win the battle against his opponent in straight forward fight, Matadora brings out "Time Cloth" in place of his usual "Reflective Mantle" and wipes out the Baku's bull form by returning it back to before it existed, transforming the area into a flower field with Matadora celebrates with young Carmen who is now freed from her nightmare.

Believing that the nightmare is over and deciding to let Matadora spends some time with young Carmen, Doraemon and Nobita try to leave the dream, only to discover that they somehow cannot. Realizing that something is still trapping them in Carmen's dream and that her nightmare is still not over, the two rush back to warn Matadora, who also discovers the same time that the "young Carmen" is infact the Baku in disguise to lower their guard. After slashing Matadora with its claw, the reveals itself and announces that Doraemon, Nobita, and Matadora will never ever escape this nightmare.
