Doraemon: Nobita's Little Star Wars 2021 (映画ドラえもん のび太の
It is a remake of the 1985 film Doraemon: Nobita's Little Star Wars and was first announced on November 16, 2020 with the release of its trailer; the trailer uploaded to YouTube was however deleted and reuploaded on January 29 possibly due to the postpone notice.[4]
Synopsis
One day in summer vacation, Suneo, Gian, Dekisugi and Nobita, use a diorama at Suneo's home to shoot the indie movie "The Great War of the Universe." While Doraemon participates in the making of the film, Nobita pulls everyone's feet and is excluded from the group by Suneo and Gian. On her way home depressed, Nobita notices that the small rocket Suneo took from her house looks real and rushes home. When Doraemon returns and inspects the rocket, it is revealed to be Papi, an alien smaller than the Earthlings. Papi's rocket breaks down and Doraemon and Nobita decide to fix it. The next day, Shizuka is added, who brings Papi a dollhouse, and Doraemon and the others, who shrink with "Small Light", play with Papi to deepen the exchange. Among them, Papi sees Shizuka's features and shows off the features of her older sister Piina, whom she left behind in her hometown.
Silently replacing Papi, Gian Suneo was surprised by Papi's presence, but with Suneo's idea, he used a "little light" to shrink him and began filming the "Great Battle of the Universe" in a diorama. There, a whale-shaped warship appears and is attacked, putting Doraemon and his company in a difficult position. Papi explains that he is the head of Planet Pirika and escaped the attack of the rebel army. General Gilmore, leading the rebel army, formed an organization called PCIA (Pishia), and its ruler, Dracorul, appeared on Earth to capture Papi. After learning of the situation, Doraemon and his friends decided to cooperate with Papi and put a "wallpaper secret base" in Shizuka's as yet unknown room to hide Papi inside.
But a few days later. Papi's whereabouts are discovered by Dracoluru's exploration orb, and Shizuka, shrunken by the "Little Light", is taken prisoner. At night in the park, Papi tries to offer himself in exchange for silence, but Doraemon and his friends seem to rescue him with a modified tank, the "Astro Tank", along with Papi's pet dog, LocoRoco. Although they managed to save the two people unharmed, the duo, upon learning that Piina had been captured by the Drakoruru, set off to Planet Pirika in a repaired rocket.
Doraemon and his friends meet with Genbu at the Free Alliance's base and consider a strategy. Deciding to take full responsibility, Papi travels alone to Planet Pirika and decides to attend Gilmore's coronation. After receiving a report from Dracoluru, Doraemon, Nobita, Gian and Locoroco decide to take advantage of the meteorite that fell on Planet Pirika and board the "Astro Tank" to quickly inform the underground organization of the Freedom Alliance plan. Meanwhile, Shizuka and Suneo, standing by at the Freedom Alliance base, pray for the safety of Doraemon and the others.
Doraemon and his friends, who came to the underground organization's bunker and conveyed the details of the operation, learned that "Small Light" was at the PCIA base. The PCIA invades and members of the underground organization are captured. After escaping with the help of the leader of the underworld, Doraemon and his friends don a "pebble hat" and invade the PCIA base to recapture "Small Light". However, the whole thing is a trap to lure Doraemon and the others, and he catches Nobita and even Doraemon and the others. The location of the base is finally known to the Freedom Alliance, and a large number of unmanned warship are approaching. Shizuka and Suneo fight alongside the Liberty Alliance in "Astro Tank."
And it's the day of Gilmore's coronation. Papi begins speaking in front of a live television . The dictator Gilmore spoke until he got angry. While the people of Pirika, impressed by Papi's speech, are walking towards Gilmore's palace, Nobita gets in the back of the car and goes to the place where the execution will take place.
At that time, Shizuka and Suneo, who had won the drone war, arrived in Pirika. However, due to the PCIA attack, the "Astro Tank" falls into the sea. On the other hand, in the execution area on the roof of the building, the Rokoroko tries to delay the execution by talking, and Shuzika and Suneo, who fall into the sea, return to their normal sizes when they are about to drown. Gilmore gets angry and attacks Papi with a gun. As Nobita tries to save the papi, they both fall to the ground.Nobita returns to her normal size and says Papi is fine, then Doraemon and Gian return to their normal size. The gang gets together In the final battle, Gian sinks the spaceship and dracolul surrenders.
Gilmore, on the other hand, tries to escape to the space airport alone, but is surrounded by the Pirika people who raise the give us freedom. Realizing the defeat, Gilmore collapses on the spot and ends the dictatorship. For the first time in a while, Papi and Piina have a family-friendly conversation, away from people who are glad to have peace of mind back. Piina's words caused Papi to shed long-held tears. After regaining "Small Light", Doraemon and the others promised to meet Papi and the others again and returned to Earth.
Seeing "Uchuu Daisen" completed at a later date, Dekisugi was surprised by the ending and asked Doraemon and the others how he filmed it.

Trivia
- This is the third Doraemon movie to be postponed due to the Coronavirus outbreak, after Doraemon: Nobita's New Dinosaur and Stand by Me Doraemon 2.
- To promote the 2021-2022 remake, the original film was rereleased for a limited time on November 23-December 2, 2021 in Japanese theaters.[5]
- Before the official English name was revealed, "Doraemon: Nobita's Little Star Wars 2021" was commonly used by the English community to refer the upcoming 2021-2022 remake film. The official English name was originally "Doraemon: Nobita's Little Space Wars 2021" before it was later corrected into "Little Star Wars 2021".
- The characters Piina and Adjutant didn't appear in the original film.
- Despite being delayed by an entire year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the "2021" in the title is still kept in. A similar thing occurred with the 2020 Tokyo Summer Olympics, which was also delayed by a year for the same reason.
- This is the first Doraemon movie to receive a Dolby Atmos sound mix.
