Doraemon: Yume Dorobou to 7 Nin no Gozansu (ドラえもん 夢どろぼうと7人のゴザンス) is a game released for the Sega Mega Drive developed and published by SEGA in 1993.
Doraemon: Yume Dorobou to 7 Nin no Gozansu is the first Doraemon game to be made on a SEGA console but the only Doraemon video game released for the Sega Mega Drive. The game was released along with a stationary set and also was released singly in South Korea simply called "Doraemon" for the Aladdin Boy (essentially a Korean Sega Mega Drive.)
Plot[]
Doraemon and his friends were having a normal day until a purple lion(?) with sunglasses named Wanders came flying with his ball that absorbs dreams of people. Doraemon now has to get everyone's dreams back by exploring the Dream Planet.
Gameplay[]
The gameplay of the game is your normal every-day side scrolling platformer. Unlike the Super Famicom Doraemon games, Doraemon is the only playable character in the game. The gameplay could be best described as Mega Man / Doki Doki Panic since it involves shooting (and you can charge your projectiles too) and throwing enemies. All the bosses excluding the final boss involve a game of Rock, Paper, Scissors (just like Alex Kidd.) The final boss on the other hand, it involves Doraemon, the other bosses and Wanders playing a game where if someone has no place to stand on, that person gets eliminated from the game. The game has power ups such as Ultra Stopwatch, Copy Robot, Take-copter, and Hustler. The game is really generous with 1-ups (just like Bugs Bunny's Birthday Blowout) and apparently there's 4 methods of getting 1-ups.
- Dorayaki
- Get 7 normal stars.
- Get 77 super stars so you can proceed to a bonus stage full of stars.
- Find the Anywhere Door so you can proceed to another bonus stage which functions like a slot machine.
