Doraemon (2007 Song)

Yume wo Kanaete Doraemon (夢をかなえてドラえもん, Make My Dreams Come True, Doraemon) is the third theme song in the Doraemon anime series. It was released on May 11th, 2007 for the third season of the 2005 anime. The original Japanese version was performed by a singer called MAO. Ever since its release, it has replaced Hagushichao as the opening theme of the Doraemon anime series, also used as the opening theme of the Doraemon & Tamagotchi! anime series and has been used as the opening theme for many movies based on said series, starting from Doraemon: Nobita and the Green Giant Legend (except Stand by Me Doraemon, Nobita's Treasure Island, Nobita's New Dinosaur, and Stand by Me Doraemon 2).

A special version performed by Doraemon as Wasabi Mizuta, Nobita as Megumi Ōhara, Shizuka as Yumi Kakazu, Gian as Subaru Kimura, and Suneo as Tomokazu Seki was also recorded, and was used as the theme song for the 2015 film, and was used as a one-off theme song for one episode of the 2005 anime. Various countries have made dubs of this opening for their international airing.

It was replaced by Gen Hoshino's Doraemon in Doraemon anime series on October 5, 2019, with it becoming the fourth opening. However, international dubs of the anime still use Yume wo Kanaete Doraemon as the opening song.

Lyrics

English translation:

Within my heart, I've always, always been drawing (drawing)
My personal world map carrying all of my dreams (Takecopter~)

Flying through the sky, surpassing the time and even faraway countries
Open the door, hey, I want to go right now (Anywhere Door~)

When I become an adult, will I forget all of that memories ?
At that time, let's try to remember

Shalalalala, in my heart
Is an ever-shining dream
Doraemon, please make it come true with that pocket of yours

Shalalalala, let's sing a song
Everyone ,now, let's hold hands together
Doraemon, let's fill the entire world with the dream

If you've found what you want to do and where you want to go (if you've found)
Don't hesitate, put on your shoes and let's go (Time Machine~)

It's fine, you're not alone because I'm right here
Let's look for some sparkling treasures (4th dimensional pocket~)

Even if you get lost on the way there's no need to cry
I will help you with my secret gadgets

Shalalalala, with a loud whistle
Let's start walking
Doraemon, it's great if we can reach to that next town

Shalalalala, our future
There are full of dreams, countlessly
Doraemon, as long as you're here everyone will smile

Even if I become an adult, I will never forget all of these things
These important memories, I will cherish them forever & ever

Shalalalala, in my heart
Is an ever-shining dream
Doraemon, please make it come true with that pocket of yours

Shalalalala, let's sing a song
Everyone ,now, let's hold hands together
Doraemon, let's fill the entire world with the dream
