Eiichi Kite (木手英一 Kite Eiichi) or known as Kiteretsu (キテレツ Kiteretsu) is a character in the Doraemon series, appeared in Kiteretsu Encyclopedia & Doraemon: Korosuke's First Approach short film. In Taiwanese and Spanish versions only, he is a cousin of Nobita Nobi.[1]
The character comes from his own manga series titled Kiteretsu Encyclopedia, also by Fujiko F. Fujio.
Appearance[]
He wears a light blue T-shirt, white underpants and dark blue pants along with green shoes, white socks, a red-yellow themed visor and a pair of square glasses.
Personality[]
Kiteretsu is a prodigy in inventing machines, usually reads his encyclopedia and invents gadgets from the past. He can even repair normal machines and invent variations of the gadgets. Because of his mechanical attitude, he commands respect from his friends. Despite those attributes, he still retains some of Nobita's aspects, such as being unathletic and not scoring well in school due to his constant inventions.

Korosuke[]
His first invention and best friend, while Korosuke can be naïve and dumb at times, they like each other and are always there for each other.
Michiko Kite[]
Kiteretsu's mother. She is strict whenever it comes to studying. Most of the time he invents things, he often tries to hide from his mom. Overall he loves his mother.
Eitarou Kite[]
Kiteretsu's father. Unlike his mother, he likes Kiteretsu's inventions and supports them. Like Michiko, Eiichi loves his father.
Kiteretsu Saisama[]
Kiteretsu's grandfather. They meet whenever Kiteretsu and his friends go to the past. His name is where his child's name comes from.
Miyoko Nonohana[]
Kiteretsu's childhood friend and love interest. She's shown to be future wife of Kiteretsu in time-travel episodes and they have a son Eitarou named after Kiteretsu's father. Her nature is similar to Shizuka Minamoto.

- The characters of both franchise meet again in "Doraemon and Kiteretsu Daihyakka: Korosuke's first approach" which is a short episode released way after the show "Kiteretsu" ended in 1996.
