The Godas' Residence is where Gian, Jaiko and their parents live. The residence is notable for the front of the house, used as grocery store owned by Mrs. Goda. Gian also helps out at the shop from time to time, either looks after the store or does the delivery service, recieving part of the income as his pocket money.
In the future, the Godas still live at this location, with one of Gian's supermarket chains built next to it.

The Goda's Residence is one of the few places that will not be demolished/remodeled during the next 25 years.
The shop Gian's mother owns is named Goda Shop (剛田商店 Gōda Shōten) in the 1979 and 2005 anime, but in the 1973 version, the shop's name is Honest Shop (正直屋 Shōjikiya) and Gian's father owned it instead, as his mother was deceased in that setting.
In the US English dub, the shop's name is changed to "Goda's Goods".
