Motoo Abiko (安孫子 素雄) or Fujiko Fujio A (藤子不二雄Ⓐ Fujiko Fujio Ē) was born in 1934 in Himi, Toyama Prefecture, Japan. He (alongside Hiroshi Fujimoto/Fujiko F. Fujio) (藤本 弘/藤子・F・不二雄) formed the pen name Fujiko Fujio. They have accompanied each other for more than 40 years.
Akibo's partner, Fujimoto had created Doraemon in December of 1969.
His original works include Kaibutsu-kun, The Laughing Salesman, Ninja Hattori-kun, and many others. His joint works with Fujiko F. Fujio include Obake no Q-Taro and the 1966 run of Perman.
On April 7, 2022, he passed away at age 88.
