Onigoro Kumatora is the main antagonist of the film Doraemon: Nobita and the Spiral City.
Appearance[]
Onigoro wears a ragged outfit, likely torn during police pursuit. He has a dark skin accent, and his nose has a slightly lighter colour than his skin. Beard covers most of his face. He was offered a cap by Hokuro so that he could differentiate himself from his clone, as their "owner".
Story[]
Onigoro escaped from prison after he shot a police officer using his retrieved gun. He enters Nobita's room from the window and then the planet on which Nobita and his friends were building the Spiral City. He uses the Replicating Mirror and accidentally creates several clones of himself, who then find Gian's mapped plan towards the Golden Lake, and start trekking to it. They are driven away by The Sower's statue form. When Doraemon and the group returns to the planet next, they are captured. Doraemon hands everyone bamboo copters but it runs low on battery and they land near a canyon by the lake.
Shizuka's skirt gets stuck on the ladder positioned by Kumatora's group, and she is captured by them. The Golden Statue arises from the lake and chases them. All of them reach Suneo's enlarged model rocket and Onigoro accidentally launches it. Doraemon blames him for putting them into danger as it is just a toy and does not have enough fuel to carry everyone back on board. They are temporarily stranded on Suneo's space station while Nobita, who was left behind after falling into the canyon, goes to the city. When Doraemon comes up with the idea of creating an explosion behind the rocket to reroute it towards the planet, Onigoro says they will blow the space station up for an explosion.
One of the clones finds dynamite and a timer to use, so they all tie up Doraemon, Suneo, Gian and Shizuka and leave them behind onboard the space station. Shizuka was tied loose by Hokuro, who is light-hearted, who then unties everyone else. Doraemon tries to defuse the bomb but fails and has to jump out, and Onigoro's group reaches the planet using the rerouted rocket. The city is under Onigoro's seige for some time. Nobita uses Doraemon's spare pocket to reach him, and once united, plan to retake the city. Onigoro is driven out but retreats the next day, and is defeated yet again, this time for the last. He is arrested by the toy police and his clones are fused back into him. Surprisingly, it is Hokuro who emerges as the dominant, and exits the planet saying he would surrender to the police himself.
