Parallel Planet (or Opposite Planet) is an episode from 2005 series and a remake of 1979 episode Parallel Star.

  • This episode takes place on July 7, which marks the Tanabata festivities. The reference to Tanabata is backed up by calligraphic writings with the kanji for "tanabata" (七夕) in the back of the classroom, as well as a paper strip handwritten by Nobita to wish himself to become smarter.
  • When the two Doraemons are shouting out the names of the two Nobitas who have just been abducted into the car, Parallel Doraemon is missing her bow.

The Parallel Star (or Opposite Star) is an episode from 1979 series. It was remade later in 2005 with the title Parallel Planet.

Story

The story starts off with the teacher handing back test results. Nobita wasn't happy with his result and he was constantly teased by his classmates. Doraemon decided to impress Nobita by giving him a telescope where he can look outside the universe. Eventually they found out that there was a planet that looks exactly the same as earth except everything is opposite of what is on earth.
