Queen Iron Fan (羅刹女 Rasetsujo) is one of the main antagonists in Doraemon: The Record of Nobita's Parallel Visit to the West along with her husband the Bull Demon King.

Story[]

Originally, Queen Iron Fan along with her husband the Bull King were antagonists of Sun Wukong in Doraemon's gaming machine. However, they escaped from the machine along with their demon army due to Doraemon's carelessness and began to take over Ancient China with their base of operation being the palace on the Mountain of Flames. The demoness sent her son, Linlei, to act as the mole on Priest Xuanzang's side in order to capture him which they succeeded. After devouring the priest, the demon expanded their population and eventually forced humanity into extinction, altering the world's timeline into the one which every person in Japan became demon except Doraemon and the gang due to them being out of the time.

Queen Iron Fan later made an appearance in the palace, scolding the Silver Horn for almost exposing Linlei's role as a spy. Later, she battled Nobita Nobi when he tried to trespass into the Flaming Mountain. The demoness proved herself to be a formidable foe, easily countering Nobita's attacks with powerful wind magic from her Banana Fan and sending him flying across the desert. After the gang made it into the palace through the underground passageway to rescue Shizuka Minamoto and Priest Xuanzang, she entrapped them and congratulated Linlei for his performance. Queen Iron Fan presented the captive to her husband who ordered Doraemon to be boiled as his first meal. However, Linlei had a change of heart and released the gang and Priest Xuanzang and led them out of the lair while Nobita, Doraemon, and later Dorami, battled the Bull King. Enraged at her son's betrayal, Queen Iron Fan ordered the demon to seize the gang and Linlei as she prepared to deal the final blow. Fortunately, Nobita managed to defeat the Bull King in time, cutting off the demoness' power and caused her to fall in the volcano to her doom. Her Banana Fan was later used to extinguish the Flaming Mountain, returning its state to the original.

Trivia[]

She is based on Princess Iron Fan (Luó shā nǚ) from Journey to the West.
She and her husband were mentioned subtly in Doraemon: Nobita's Dorabian Nights when Suneo Honekawa and Takeshi Gouda went into Journey to the West book, which is where the characters were based from.
Queen Iron Fan is the first female main antagonist in the Doraemon movies.
