Sapio (サピオ) is the deuteragonist of the 1993 film Doraemon: Nobita and the Tin Labyrinth. He is a boy who lives in another world which is run by tin robots.
Story[]
Sapio lives in Chamocha Planet, where the robots dominate and the humans who created them are imprisoned. Due to Chamocha's humans' habit that loves to play, the technology has gone to the way to use the robots to serve humans, and later, Professor Napogistra was created to create the robots to serve humans. Soon, the image control was invented that makes humans not move. Later, Mr. Burikin, Sapio's father, asked the king of Chamocha to stop using image control which is making the humans weaker, but failed and Professor Napogistra invented the capsule that helped to travel everywhere. Later Mr. Burikin, his wife, and Sapio sailed to the Burikin island to research for a method to stop the potential robot domination. They left Sapio behind on the island to protect the labyrinth. The next day Professor Napogistra reigned himself as the king, so the humans were all imprisoned except Sapio.
He travelled to many planets for friends to save his planet, but only Nobita and friends are friendly, so he brings everyone to his planet. He divided the team to be two, the first, Gian and Suneo would spy on the city, and he, Nobita, Shizuka, and Tap would go into the labyrinth for the laboratory. Unfortunately, the royal army attacks the island while they being in the labyrinth causing the hotel to be completely destroyed and breaking the guide mouse leading them to the laboratory, along with some soldiers chasing them. Sapio and Tap send Nobita and Shizuka back to earth and they keep searching for the laboratory.
Nobita realized that Doraemon left the spare pocket under his pillow, so both can go to where Doraemon is. Unluckily, Doraemon is already out of order due to getting scrapped by the General Nejirin, but Nobita repaired him with the help of Mini-Doraemon. Finally, the three of them go back to find Sapio and reach the laboratory.
Sapio's father had programmed a computer virus in case Napogistra reigns himself. Doraemon modifies the toys brought by Santa, who also brings Gian and Suneo back from the north pole, to strike the robot force back. At the end of the movie, he and all Chamocha humans get ready to rebuild their city.
