Sapio (サピオ) is the key character of the 1993 film Nobita and the Tin-Plate Labyrinth. He is a boy who lives in another world which is run by tin robots.
Story
Sapio lives in Chamocha Planet, where the robots dominate and the humans who created them are imprisoned. Due to Chamocha's humans' habit that loving to play, the technology has gone to the way to use the robot to serve humans, and later, Professor Napogistra was created to create the robots to serve human, and the later the image control was invented that making human don't need to move. Later, Mr.Burikin, Sapio's father, asked the king of Chamocha to stop using image control that making the human weaker, but failed and Professor Napogistra invented the capsule to travel everywhere. Later Mr.Burikin, his wife, and Sapio sailed to the Burikin island to research something. Later they left Sapio behind in the island. The next day Professor Napogistra reigns himself as a king, so the humans are all imprisoned except Sapio.
He travels to many planet for friends to save his planet, but only Nobita and friends are friendly, so he brings everyone to his planet. He divided the team to be two, the first, Gian and Suneo are spying in the city, and he, Nobita, Shizuka, and Tappu is going into the labyrinth for the laboratary. Unfortunately, the royal army attacks the island while they being in the labyrinth causing the hotel completely destroyed and breaking the guide mouse leading them to the laboratary, and some soldiers are chasing them. Sapio and Tappu send Nobita and Shizuka back to earth and they keep finding the laboratory.
Fortunately, Nobita can realise that Doraemon leaves the spare pocket under his pillow, so both can go to where Doraemon is. Unluckily, Doraemon is already out of order due to getting scrapped by the General Nejirin, but Nobita can repair him. Finally three of them can go back to find Sapio and reach the laboratory.
Sapio's father invented the computer virus in case Napogistra reigning himself. Luckily, Doraemon modifies toys from Santa, who brings Gian and Suneo back from the north pole, to strike the robot force back. At the end of the movie he and all Chamocha humans are about to rebuild their city.
