Nobita apparently doesn't know anything about constellations or the story of the Cowherd and the Weaver Girl, so he turns to Doraemon to understand the constellations using the Constellation Legend Simulator. They bring the Cowherd and the Weaver Girl down and reunite them, but are unable to ask anything about them as they are too engrossed with their re-encounter and bring them back into the sky.
Nobita, along with Doraemon, later gathers his friends to observe the constellations in a bid to outsmart Dekisugi. However, they realize that the Cowherd and the Weaver Girl are joined together and try to bring them down again, but end up summoning all the constellations down by mistake. Now Doraemon and friends must capture all the constellations and bring them back to their original positions in the sky before the sun rises.
